Putting it in Context: 1999 Press Pass SE was a very small set of 45 cards with a variety of inserts sets related to it. The insert set “Two on One” is often overlooked by collectors, but is a really cool set based on an interesting idea. The odds of finding one were 1:12 packs. Basically, there are eight players in the set, each with a card. Then there’s four more cards that pair these players up for twelve cards total. The card with the pair has die-cut notches on the sides and the individual cards of these players are die-cut too and can connect in these notches making a three card panel. This explains the numbering. Take #TO4B for example. The “TO” stands for the name of the set, “Two on One,” the “4” refers to the fourth pair of players, and the “B” refers to the middle card of the three-card panel. It really makes for a cool set as a whole!

As you already know from this, the number indicates it is the fourth, and final, pair of players as well as the middle card of the three-card panel. The back information on the card is not to be overlooked! Instead of a typical statistics box, there is a simple comparison of the two players saying that both are “long, lean players who run the floor well.” More specifically, that NBA teams currently admire this about Camby, and are looking at Odom strongly for the same reason. Short, sweet and to the point. Makes for a memorable fact.
In the 2001 Standard Catalog of Basketball Cards, it’s value was listed at $5.00 and, honestly, the value did not hold very well. They are not expensive cards. But they’re not so easy to find either!
