It is essential to read about the 1995-96 Skybox Premium Lottery Exchange complete set to understand the role of this card in its larger setting! Seriously, lots to learn in that link…see the original packaging envelope, the exchange cards. A must read!
The Card: This is the next-to-last card in the Lottery Exchange set. It is one of two that share a green background, with the other being the #5 Kevin Garnett card. This card is necessary for collections for two reasons. First, it is needed to complete this particular set. Secondly, like the other cards in the set, it is limited to a production run of 25,000. Despite these facts, it has never been in great demand. The 2001 Standard Catalog of Basketball Cards lists its value as common at $1.00. This has held over the years as collector’s are more likely to chase the key players than concern themselves over completing the set. There’s a chance that the set itself may one day gain popularity, but until then, this card can be added to your collection at a low price.
