The 1993 Upper Deck European sets paralleled the designs of 1992-93 Upper Deck with the only difference being the addition of a second language on the cards. They were available in French, Italian and Spanish. If you recall from the regular 1992-93 Upper Deck set, there was an insert set of holograms. These were nine cards featuring league leaders in certain statistical categories and award winners. These holograms are also paralleled in the European set. The only difference, other than the additional language of course, is the appearance of an “EB” prefix before the card number instead of the “AW” prefix in the regular holograms.
This is card #EB2, the card dedicated to the league leader in steals, John Stockton. In ’91-92 he almost averaged 3 steals per game (2.98) and, as the card points out, he was in the top ten consistently since the 1985-86 season. John Stockton is also the eighth card in this set because he was the league leader in assists as well.
